Next in line at 25 Westway Road is the Italianate house built by Captain Wakeman Meeker in 1857.

Less pretentious than his neighbor to the right, Meeker built his villa with a wide overhanging roof and decorated porch not far from his docks and warehouses on the harbor at the foot of Westway Road.

Captain Meeker was given the land for his house in the custom of the time by his father, Wakeman Sr., who lived next door at 824 Harbor Road
